Centre of Home Crafts and Applied Arts … from the start (2006) … what we Plan.

The main activities of Centre DUO are: - connecting of craftsmen - the safeguarding of Slovenian cultural heritage, - promotion and development of handicrafts, - professional development of new forms of education for the professions of handicrafts.

Centre DUO with craftsmen: - over 50 craftsmen including in Centre DUO, - selling exhibition gallery of handicraft products, - workshops for craftsmen – modern design, buisness managment …

Centre DUO as educational centre: It is an educational centre for the handicraft heritage of northeastern Slovenia. Thus, this type of knowledge is passed on to the younger generations (through workshops and research camps).

Educational program for NPK (national professional qualification) for handicrafts profession  180-hour training courses for the acquisition of NPK,  the acquisition of basic skills,  leadership of experienced, craftsmen and other professionals  preparation for independent work.

Educational programs for schools  Craft day  Craft week  Workshops with craftsman,  learn about heritage,  train craft skills,  work with natural materials.
