Guess our concept... What do you think the concept of our lesson is?

Starting Your Own Business Restaurant Challenge! Learning Objective: To develop your Team Worker Skills by creating your own business. Team Worker Creative Thinker Effective Participator

Starting Your Own Business With youth unemployment at record highs, one way for young people to get a job is to start their own business. Instead of waiting for someone else to hire you, why not set up a company and employ yourself?

Restaurant Challenge! What am I doing? In your groups you are going to start up a new business and your challenge is to create your own restaurant. Remember that in the current economic climate you are going to need to be as creative as possible and come up with new ideas to get people coming to your restaurant. Who am I working with? You will be working in groups of 4/5. What do I need to include? On your task sheet there are a list of activities you need to complete – you might not be able to complete all of them but do as many as you can. Divide the activities between you. How will I present my work? You will be pitching your restaurant idea to the class. Your pitch will need to show your completed activities and try to encourage investors. How long do I have? 2 lessons to prepare. 1 lesson to present.

Progress Check As a group set yourself 3 targets for next lesson. Consider... Could you work better as a team? What activities need completing? Have activities been shared equally? What do you need to do in order to be ready to present?
