 A very unusual festival of chimney sweeps takes place in one of the towns of Great Britain. This town Rochester is situated in the county Kent.

Rochester

 Before the 1868 little boys were working as chimney sweeps.  It was a very dirty and low- paid work

 On the 1 st of May these boys had a day off. They could rest from their hard work and take part in May parade.

 The Festival began on the sunrise, when Jack-in-the-Green, who was considered to be the spirit of spring and forest, woke up.

 Folk-musicians and dancers from all parts of the country take part in the festival.

 May festival of chimney sweeps begins with dances.

 Everybody who knows at least one foreign language is considered to be a well-educated person
