Alliteration An alliteration is a repetition of the first constant sound in a phrase. An alliteration is a repetition of the first constant sound in a phrase. Used to create melody, establish mood, call attention to important words, and point out similarities and contrast.

Alliterations An alliteration is a type of figurative language that repeats the consonant sound in a sentence. Most alliterations are tongue twisters. Alliteration mostly have seven repeating words in the sentence. One of the old English styles of writing the alliterations is one of the least used types of figurative language.

A common example in English is "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers." Alliteration can take the form of assonance, the repetition of a vowel, or consonance, the repetition of a consonant; however, unlike a strict definition of alliteration, both assonance and consonance can regularly occur within words as opposed to being limited to the word's initial sound.Peter Piperassonance consonance

Devin Dunkin dunks dancing donuts down by Destiny's Den. Even though the letter is not the same the alliteration is still correct. The underlined words still have the same repeating sound.
