Syllabus This course entails the following subjects. Geology (Rocks, Minerals, Topography, Plate Tectonics) Astronomy (Constellations, Horizontal Systems, Earth/Moon/Sun Systems, Planets) Oceanography (Density, Currents, Topography) Meteorology (Weather symbols and maps, Severe Weather) Environmental (Water Cycle, Watersheds)
Grading Policy Total Points System Used Online Grading Viewing Tests 100 points, Quizzes 50 points, Labs Points, class work 20 points Extra credit available after tests Midterm January 10% of grade Final Exam 10% of grade (not required to take if average is above 90%)
Yearly Objectives Give your son/daughter a better understanding of the physical world around us. Challenge them through hands-on and online labs. Provide necessary skills useful in College; such as note-taking and notebook organization. Encourage honesty, respect, cooperation, and collaborative learning.
