Presentation transcript:

You must study this PowerPoint, play the Rags to Riches game and take and pass the quiz before continuing with class assignments.

 It is never okay to share your password with a friend.

 Before printing:  Use the print preview to make sure you are printing everything you want to print.  Ask the teacher.  Double check your work.

 The password I make up is only good for one school year. At the beginning of each school year, I will be required to make up a new password.

 If I forget my password, I should tell a teacher and fill out a “password reset form” in the library.

 The U drive is my personal space to save files.  Only school appropriate material should be saved on my U drive.

 If my computer is not working, I should raise my hand and tell the teacher.

 Only the teacher and I can see the contents of my U drive.

 I cannot reset my password anytime I want. I must use the password reset form in the library.

 The best way to remember my password is to make an association that I can remember.

 The best way to help others in the computer lab is to tell them how, but make them do it themselves.

 I am not supposed to go to chat rooms at school, even if my parents let me at home.  The Gaggle chat room is the only exception, but I can only go there with teacher permission.

 I look for shared files on the T drive.  There are two folders on the T drive.  Student shared  Teacher directions.

 My user name for logging on to the computers at school is my student ID.

 There is nothing I can do to hide my activity on the computer. Everything I do can be traced back to my login, or user ID.

 I can go to the internet, only with teacher permission. I can only go to the URL that I have permission to be on.  It is never okay to listen to music, play games, or watch videos.

 Play the rags to riches game. Play the rags to riches game  Take the Computer Lab Rules quiz. Take the Computer Lab Rules quiz
