The capital of France is one of the best known cities in the world. The man who designed the Eiffel Tower was Gustave Eiffel Gustave Eiffel was born in Dijon, France Dec 15 th 1832.

Gustave, Maurice, Emile and Stephen built the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889

The Eiffel Tower is over 300 metres high. It has three platforms. There are 1652 steps to the top. Approx. 200 million people have visited the Eiffel Tower The prince of Wales, later King Edward VII of England opened the Tower. The Eiffel Tower has been painted 6 different colours!

Sadly Gustave died in Dec 27,1923 in mansion. The Eiffel Tower is the second tallest building in the world.
