What is the EHC tracker telling us? Increase in requests for EHC needs assessment (Q1: 229 Q2: 267) Proportionally more requests accepted for assessment (Q1: 64% Q2: 81%) Q2: 46% increase in number of assessments for SENAR to progress within 20 weeks (Q1: 148 Q2: 217) Big increase in requests for early years (Q1: 47 Q2: 85). Small increase in secondary (Q1: 55 Q2: 69). Small decrease in primary (Q1:119 Q2: 109) (Post 16: Q1: 8 Q2: 6) North Q1: 65 Q2: 60; East Q1: 53 Q2: 83; West Q1: 46 Q2: 51; South Q1: 65 Q2: 75 Proportional decrease in number of requests declined - indicates general improvement in the quality of information provided by referrers Most frequent reason for declining a request for assessment continues to be : insufficient information about the action already taken by the provider to meet the child's needs Provides the ongoing focus for current and future workforce development activities
