 Located in the mountains of Peru, Colombia, Ecuator, N. Chile, and NW Argentina  Used terraced gardens that prevented erosion and irrigation canals to grow potatoes, maize (corn), and a grain called quinoa(used for its edible seeds that is closely related to beets, spinach, and tumbleweeds)terraced gardens
