Well that’s how I felt about joining classroom observation, which means a lot of teachers gather together to observe one lesson. But now I believe that I should open up my mind to things because eventually I might just find it very rewarding. Have you ever not wanted to do something so badly that you would rather die than go?

“You may wonder, Sir Percival,” said Laura calmly, “if I am going to ask to be released from my promise to marry you. I am not going to ask this. Grown-ups are often surprised by how well they remember something they learned as children but have never practiced ever since. A man who has not had a chance to go swimming for years can still swim as well as ever when he gets back in the water. He can get on a bicycle after many years and still ride away. He can play catch and hit as well as his son. A mother who has not thought about the words for years can teach her daughter the poem that begins “Twinkle, twinkle, little star”.
