UTILIZING SCRATCH FOR LESSONS

WHAT OPTIONS DO WE HAVE? - Write you own computer game - Create a Ghostbusters game - Animation and sound - Stories and strolling

WRITE YOUR OWN COMPUTER GAME - Basic computer programming and code. - Learn the command palette, sprites, script, and looping.

- Make a second bad guy that you have to keep away from, and that moves in a different way. - Add some treasure that will give you extra lives. EXTRA

CREATE GHOSTBUSTERS GAME - Learn how to make loops and decisions - Learn how to use Variables

Add Levels: When you have caught 6 ghosts, make the ghosts go faster! Make others variables for Speed and Ghostcaught Code for Pac Man EXTRA

ANIMATION AND SOUND - Instead of games students can create a short movie. - Learn how animation works - Learn to Create costumes, use sound and loops. - This will also enhance student’s creativity.

- Using the command Palette change the appearance of sprites and create motions to enhance the animation EXTRA

SCROLLING AND STORIES - Learn how to use speech bubbles and sound, loops and timing, and sprites. - Focuses more on sprites and expanding a student’s creativity and imagination.

- Make the objects appear to move slower in the background.
