 Integrate appropriate developmental math with college-level statistics over two semesters.  Statway from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching (more than 30 colleges around the country)  New Math Pathways from the Charles A. Dana Center  Excellent success rates.

 What is it that your “A” students seem to know almost without being taught and your “C” students never quite get?  What visualization would help students learn that? Answer: Animations are often good.

In a statistics course, YES! But we all use some applets to focus on specific explorations we want the students to do. But not in courses that prepare them for the stat course and not in other courses that include some statistics (e.g. Quantitative Literacy, College Algebra)

20 samples of size 10 from a normal distribution (Or choose another sample size and/or shape)

 More on “foundational topics” than most applet collections  Includes quite a few regular statistics topics (regression, Central Limit Theorem, illustration of the meaning of confidence interval, illustration of the Law of Large Numbers)  Coming soon – bootstrap confidence intervals for one mean and permutation test.

 In HTML5, so no plug-in needed.  Virtually no formatting required for the data.  Just link to the applet on our website if you want.

You can put the entire set on your own web page server (which will run php) and edit as you wish.  Easy to change titles on applets with an interactive interface.  Can write your own instructions for individual applets or groups of applets and easily put links to those on the applets.
