“Aurel Popp” Art High School was set up in 1969 It has two teaching sections: Romanian and Hungarian There are 546 students and 113 teachers There are 4 sections where students can study: - fine arts: painting, graphics, photo-video etc. - music: canto, piano, flute, drums, guitar etc. - architecture - choreography: classic dance
There is a school choir and a school orchestra. There are 27 classes. 8 primary classes: music and fine arts 8 secondary classes: music, fine arts and choreography 12 high school classes: music, fine arts and architecture
High school students have an average number of 20 subjects Except their ‘specialized’ subjects, all students study: Romanian, Hungarian(the students from the Hungarian section), French, English, German, Math, Geography, P.E., History, Computer Technology etc. (‘general knowledge’ subjects)
