Geographical Map of Spain

The Pyrenees

1 Day in the Pyrenees Our first day was spent exploring and learning about the Pyrenees mountain range We spent the day hiking some of the most beautiful trails on the mountain range and read these interesting facts: the mountains form a natural barrier that separates France, Spain and Andorra, which throughout history has more or less isolated each of the countries from one another International railroads and railways cross the border where the terrain is lower at the Easternmost and Westernmost regions of the mountain range The highest peak, called Pico de Aneto, rises over 3,400 meters

1 Day in the Pyrenees After our hike we took in the Cirque de Gavarnie, a beautiful glacial amphitheater with a waterfall backdrop and we also viewed the famous Montserrat, or “Holy Mountain”
