Definition “Multicultural education is an idea or concept, a process, and an educational reform movement that assumes America’s diversity should be reflected in U.S. education. These ideas were developed to assist teachers to promote democracy while responding to the many issues created by rapidly changing demographics of their students.” (Good)

Why is it important? Different social and economic classes Diverse cultural groups Varied language groups As a teacher, you WILL face students from different backgrounds than you.
