Division : Indoor games

The idea of the project „Hopscotch. In search of vintage games” is to draw the youth away from sitting in front of the computer and to discern that not only the virtual world is beautiful. In the first year of the enterprise, together with the school from Estonia we carried out a survey among those connected with the knowledge of vintage games (e.g. kapsle, palant). We got the biggest amount of information from elderly people, which is of great importance since one of the aims of the project is building up the intergeneration bonds. During the first visit to Poland, out of a huge database, we chose some games from both countries. All the activities we have undertaken are based on the values of friendship, respect, goodness, sincerity, love, trust and tolerance. The very project is propagated in the form of brochures, multimedia presentations in other schools in the town and in the local environment. The Partner Project Comenius enables the fulfilment of the cognitive aims assumed by the schools; it enables the students to develop the curiosity of the world, get to know other cultures, tolerance and cooperative skills in different circumstances. It teaches the existence in the contemporary world and international cooperation and allows the students to improve their language skills. Both the schools have great experience in cooperation and implementing both projects and other actions on the national and international stage. BALL THROWING – a game based on throwing the ball with a sheet on a special pitch – over the net Train your body and brain One can spend their time in a useful and interesting way – you don’t have to get bored, quite the opposite – you can develop your brain, muscles and fitness. We encourage you and your children (whatever age they are at) to modify the scenarios proposed by us. Number of participants – two teams with four players on the pitch Venue – best to use a volleyball pitch but one can also play on a flat smooth surface with a marked pitch (e.g. 18x9 metres or other dimensions). One can also use an area between trees. Accessories – two fabric sheets – they can be bed sheets but we know from practice that when playing a big ball the best would be quilt covers; a big ball – playing a small one there is no such fun but if one does not have such a ball, one can play any ball; of course, a pitch or at least a string stretched between trees

Course of the game: przerzutka is played similarly to volleyball – only instead of hitting the ball with one’s hands, we catch it and throw with a sheet. Another difference is that in volleyball one can have three passes – here we can catch the ball and throw it to the opponent. We must hold the sheet corners all the time. During the game one cannot use hands in order to tackle the ball (it is a mistake and loss of a point). We establish together if we play within the time limit or for points. 1. Preparation for the game2. Preparation for the throw a good grip is very important – otherwise the sheet may slide away balancing so that the ball is in the middle

3. The throw of the ball cooperation is the basis of a good throw 4. Preparation for the catch here good cooperation is necessary since the opponent will try to surprise us

5. Catching the ball 6. Point!!! Great joy. catching the ball is really so difficult as it can be seen in the picture after catching the ball everyone is preparing for the throw again The game was played for you by the participants of the project – it was fun.

Exemplary game great game also to be played outdoors
