Rules for rounding a number to the tens place… 1st: Underline the number in the tens place nd : Circle the number right next door… in the ones place. 3 rd : If the circled number is 5 or more, round the tens place up to the next number (6 to 7) Or If the circled number is 4 or less, keep the number in the tens place the same and make everything to the right a zero. 60
