 To stop or wait for a time; be slow in acting.  Sentence: I hesitated getting in the water

 Unbelieving  Sentence: I am incredulous that my teacher asked if we wanted to play on the ps3.

 Coolly unconcerned  Sentence: My mother was so upset that I was so nonchalant about my report card.

 Defying or resisting some established authority, government, or tradition; insubordinate; inclined to rebel.  Sentence: The teenage boy was rebellious against his parents.
