Sample Impulse Problem A 0 Sample Impulse Problem A 0.15kg baseball moving at +26m/s is slowed to a stop by a catcher who exerts a constant force of -390N. How long does it take this force to stop the ball?

Elastic Collision A 5.0 g coin sliding to the right at 25.0 cm/s makes an elastic head on collision with a 15.0 g coin that is initially at rest. After the collision, the 5.0 g coin moves to the left at 12.5 cm/s. Find the velocity of the other coin.

Inelastic collision A 92 kg fullback running at 5.0 m/s is diving for a touchdown. Just as he reaches the goal line, he is met head on in midair by two 75 kg linebackers, one moving at 2.0 m/s and the other at 4.0 m/s. If upon collision they become entangled as one mass, with what velocity do they travel? Does the fullback score?

Explosion A shell of mass 1160 kg is fired from a rail mounted cannon of mass 1.37X105kg. The cannon was fired at rest and the muzzle velocity of the shell is 1030m/s. What is the recoil velocity of the gun?
