Softball is game like baseball played with a bigger ball and a small field. Originally it was called Kitten ball, softbund ball, indoor baseball, mush ball, playground, and also ladies’ baseball. The name Softball arrived in 1926.
Women’s fastpitch softball became part of the Olympics in It was dropped from the Olympics in 2005.
The ball is 12 inches. The infield is a lot smaller than a baseball field. Each base is 60 feet apart. It is played for 7 innings. The pitcher pitches underhand.
