Textbook vocabulary  torso, chest, back, waist, abdomen, groin, neck, shoulder blade, rib cage, small, concussion, bruise

Answer # 1 1. The major parts of the human torso are the back, the rib cage, the waist and the groin (and chest). The major part of the torso that protects the body is the rib cage. This bone structure keeps the vital organs safe. Without it, our lungs, heart, and major arteries could be easily damaged.
