PPT 2 Looking at Art

Task 1 Using colored paper, you must make a big version of your Haring dancer from last week! Draw in pencil first, and then cut out your dancer carefully, with scissors. Finally, give your dancer a nice thick black outline using paint – take your time here, don’t make it messy!

Pop! Pop Art is a genre of art, can you remember what genre means? Pop Art started in the mid 1950’s in England and America, and continued in the 1960’s and onwards… Pop Art was influenced by fashion, advertising, fame, celebrity, signs – what do you think the word ‘Pop’ is short for?
