Microscope Instructions

1. Carry microscope with 2 hands always! One to support the base and the other on the arm. 2. Plug microscope in to power outlet.

3. ALWAYS start on the lowest power objective. 4. Focus with the coarse adjustment knob first. 5. Center the object in the viewing screen.

6. Rotate nosepiece to the medium power objective 7. Use coarse adjustment knob to clarify specimen and then use fine adjustment knob for finer details.

8. Rotate nosepeice to the high power objective. 9. ONLY use the fine adjustment knob to clarify the specimen.

10. Unplug power cord, remove slide from stage, move nose piece so the lowest power objective is in place, and wrap cord at designated place on microscope

Total Magnification: Eyepiece (10x) x objective -low power objective – 4x -medium – 10x -high – 40x 40x, 100x, 400x
