Gender Bias Graph By. Mekiah Hall

The Reason I’m Doing This Is… The reason I am doing this Gender Bias survey is because it is for my space class. This class Is for grades 3-5 . This class is for specific people, People who are slightly smarter than others in their grade. In this slide show, the questions are inspired by Gender Bias.In space we have been studying Gender Bias .ENJOY

The 10 Questions I asked Do you think Boys are more athletic than girls? Do you think girls can do anything boys can do ,job wise? Do you think boys and girls should be treated equal? Do you think girls are smarter than boys? Do you think ladies belong at home? Do you think ladies should do all the work? Do you think ladies pay more attention? Do you think men are messier than women? Do you think men are lazier than women? Do you think boys get into more trouble than girls?

My Student Servey 10. Y N 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 Q5 Q6

My Adult Survey 5. Y N 4. 3. 2. DAD1. 1. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.

…And My Gender Bias Results were… While surveying people that are older than me, I found, like the kids gender bias survey, that there is mild gender bias. I say that they have mild gender bias because when I was surveying women they said in response to men being messier (for example ) that they had to agree. And when I was surveying the Men, they said that boys were more athletic. In my opinion they might get their opinions from parents, T.V and or friends . While surveying people my age I found mild gender bias exists. I say this because when asking the question do you think boys are more athletic than girls the response from them was Yes. Also When surveying the girls ,I asked the question do you think girls are smarter than guys, their answer was Yes. These answers, I think, were inspired possibly by parents or elders .Or maybe even possibly by the T.V shows they watch.

My Ending Questions. Q1)Do stereotypes affect how we see and interact with others? A1) I do think stereotypes affect how we see and interact others. Q2) Is using stereotypes to judge people, harmful? A2) Yes, Using stereotypes to judge people is harmful because a stereotype isn’t the real thing it’s just what other people think. Q3)What did I find out about myself? A3) I found out that ‘’Gender Bias’’, makes me kind of mad ,People may watch a movie and they’ll make something of it ,Gender Bias is wrong. Q4)Did I find any gender bias that I didn’t know I had? A4)Yes, I did find some gender bias that I didn’t know about. Q5)What were they? A5) Think Girls/Women are smarter than Boys/Men. Q6) What can I do to help end gender bias? A6) To help end gender bias I can read more about other people and Where they come from so I don’t listen to stereotypes.
