7 th General Lyceum of Larissa The 7th General Lyceum of Larissa is a day high school near the centre of Larissa. Larissa is one of the largest cities in the center of Greece, industrial and rural. It is crossed by the Penaeus river. It is the place where Hippocrates the father of medicine in antiquity spent his life and also the kingdom of the mythical King Achilles, and the place also where the Argonauts started their journey.

Our school provides students a top quality all-round education and it prepares them to enter the University. It also provides a high level of knowledge which helps them not only to enter university but also to acquire the skills needed to play an active role as citizens of a united Europe. 7 th General Lyceum of Larissa

Our students are between 15 to 18 years old. The attendance in high schools lasts 3 years. The subjects taught are divided into 3 categories: a) theoretical (philosophical-pedagogical schools, law education), b) technological (polytechnics, economic and military schools, physics) and c) positive (medical, dental and paramedical education). 7th General Lyceum of Larissa

There are also courses of general interest compulsory for all classes of high school. After completion of 3 year schooling, students are examined on a nationwide scale and are admitted to universities according to their level of performance and desire. Students have the opportunity to take part in activities such as sports, environmental and artistic. 30 km of the city there is the famous Mount Olympus and the picturesque beaches of the Aegean Sea. This position serves for easy access to students through environmental education programmes at these locations.
