Selena: The Queen of Tejano Music

 In 1987 Selena won Best Female Vocalist at the Tejano Music Awards Tejano Music Awards  She dominated for the next seven years Tejano Music Award

COCA-COLA CONTRACT 1989 contract with Coca- Cola as its advertising spokeswoman in Texas. Coca-Cola released a commemorative bottle in honor of their five year relationship with Selena.

CONCERT TIME  February 1995 Selena played a concert at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo  Record of 65,000 fans  More than country stars George Strait, Vince Gill, and Reba McEntire.

DEATH OF STAR  Tragically murdered at age of 23  Selena’s funeral drew approximately 60,000 mourners  Many of whom traveled from outside the U.S.
