Some reasons gender roles are bad Creates unnecessary stereotypes The stereotypes can force children to be less open minded, and can narrow their perspective. They are given expectations they feel that they have to meet. It also creates problems for adults, in their personal lives and professional lives 5

That Pay Gap is usually caused by The under-evaluation of women’s worth caused by outdated stereotypes and traditions. 8

Women are not the only ones affected… Men have a higher rate of suicide because men are told to “suck it up” and not talk about their problems, so they are more likely to commit suicide. 9
