Why Do We Leave Cookies For Santa?

Once upon a Christmas, Santa was flying over Ohio when suddenly his reindeer got really hungry and tired and wanted to stop…

Santa landed his sleigh on top of a house in a little town called Lima.

Santa climbed off the roof and went to the door to talk to the people in the house.

Santa knocked on the door and asked for something to feed his reindeer. The people said, “No.”

So Santa went to A LOT of houses, but everyone said they had no food for the reindeer…

Finally, Santa came to a really small house with a really small door. Santa knocked on the really small door and a really small girl came out.

Santa asked the really small girl for some food for the reindeer, and she said… “YES!”

So the really small girl gave the reindeer some cookies and they were really happy. Santa gave her EXTRA presents that year!!

When the little girl told her friends about all the presents, they wanted more presents, too! Pretty soon everyone was making cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve!

So that’s why everyone leaves cookies out on the fireplace for Santa and his reindeer!
