Comets Made of ice, gas, and dust. Have a long tail. Reflect light from the sun Head is called coma Long, elliptical, predictable orbits.

Asteroids Meteoroids Broken piece of asteroids and comets. Large piece of rock in space. Orbits in the asteroid belt. Made of rocks and metals Broken piece of asteroids and comets. Smaller in size. Made of rocks and metals.

Meteors Meteorites Meteors that land on Earth. Usually very small. Meteoroids that strike Earth’s atmosphere. Create streaks of light in the sky. Most burn up in the atmosphere.
