Course Policy: Grading Attendance is mandatory -Up to three (3) absences: no penalty -After 3 absences: 3.33 points/absence Raw Score = 0.30 homework score midterm exam grade final exam grade term paper grade : A ; 80-89: B; 70-79: C; 50-69: D

Course Policy: Homework Homework is due at (or before) the beginning of class on the specified due date Homework will be graded (0-5) Homework score = 100 x sum of homework grades / ( 5 x number of homework assignments) Late homework => No credit

Course Policy: Exams Exam questions will typically be variations of assigned homework problems Exams are “open notes”, “open book(s)”

Course Policy: Term Paper Technology Assessment Report 1-page proposal for your topic will be due to your “writing intensive” tutor (to be assigned to you) at the end of week 4. A rough draft of your term paper will be due to your writing intensive tutor by the end of week 7 The final version will be due to SDP by the end of week 10
