About APT The Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art is the only recurring exhibition of contemporary art of Asia, Australia and the Pacific. APT6 incorporates Kids APT and Summer Festival, cinema program, regional Queensland programs, Up Late, public programs, education programs and resources. 100 artists and filmmakers from 25 countries First time: North Korea, Iran, Turkey, Tibet, Cambodia and Myanmar (Burma).

Promised Lands profiles cinematic and geopolitical relationships throughout the Indian subcontinent (Bangladesh, India, Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, Sri Lanka) across to West Asia and the Middle East (including Afghanistan, Armenia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kurdistan, Lebanon, Palestine and Turkey).

Promised Lands provides an opportunity to develop conversations that look to West Asia and the Middle East, encountering the intersecting countries, religions, cultures and histories that help inform our understanding of these evolving regions today and their future.
