The Pennsylvania Institute for Instructional Coaching (PIIC) Implementation years: 9/1/2008 – 6/30/2015

Institute Goals: To establish a statewide coaching institute to support instructional coaches and instructional mentors in high schools across the state;

To provide uniform professional development to support the consistent delivery of instructional coaching skills, instructional mentoring skills, SAS, and research-based literacy strategies;

To help IUs develop and build mentor capacity.

Establish a cadre of highly qualified coaches and mentors trained via a program of study and ongoing professional development throughout the state;
