2 Welcome! Create a Schoology Account 1. Go to www.schoology.comwww.schoology.com 2. Click on "Sign Up” 3. Click on “Instructor” 4. Complete form and click “Register” 5. 5 How do coaches spend their time? 1. Calculate coaching hours in a typical week: Hours/day X 5 days = ____ hours/week 2. Write number of hours on the top of your chart. 3. Reflect on the roles/activities the coach engages in during a typical week. (Individually! Do not discuss or compare.) 4. List the activities on the lines below the circle. 5. Choose a color for each activity. Complete the circle by coloring in the area of the circle to represent the percentage of time spent on each activity.

9 Read the statement on your colored strip. Reflect on the belief. What are your reactions? Do you hold this belief? How might this belief interfere with coaching? “Beliefs” About Coaching

10 Stand Up, Hand Up, Pair Up, Share Up After you’ve reflected on the belief statement, Stand up Hold up your colored strip Pair up with someone with the same color Share belief and discuss your thoughts Repeat the process with someone who has a different color

11 Coaching Heavy, Coaching Light Text Rendering 1) Read the article, “Are You Coaching Heavy or Light?” 2) As you read, select one sentence, one phrase, and one word that stand out for you.
