Personnel History Kodo “Vast” Vastronil is big. Big even for a Herglic topping the scales at 7 and a half feet and 600lbs of shiny blue-black blubber covered muscle. Vast was born and raised in a small Herglictown pod- community on the ocean planet of Manaan. His mother and older sister were peripatetic ship engineers, taking berths on trade runs all over the galaxy while Vast stayed home with his father and younger sister. His father was a data-archeologist and historian by trade, specializing in the myths and legends of the early-era Herglic trading empire. Vast grew up swimming in warm seas, daydreaming of a time when Herglics owned the skies, staring at the distant stars hoping to see the flare of his mother’s atmospheric reentry. It was a good life until the Empire came. Manaan is home to the only natural supply of kolto, an organic healing agent almost as powerful as bacta. To control this resource the Emperor ordered massive depth bombing of the entire planet, rapidly reducing Vast’s home to a wrack of detritus tossed on bloody waves. Vast barely managed to escape in an old jury-rigged escape pod carrying his badly wounded younger sister. They were picked up by an old Correlian trader and eventually made their way to Chardaan, where Vast joined the Alliance. Now he applies his natural talent for engineering to customize ships to fit his bulk and flying style; all in pursuit of his long term goals both to bring about the destruction of the Empire and to acquire enough credits to heal his sister.
