His bill, HB4002, passed the house and was scheduled to be effective July CAMPUS CARRY BILLS: 2015 HB Guns on campus everywhere SB Senate companion to HB 4005 We defeated them!

CAMPUS CARRY HB 4001/SB 68 They’re back! Same bills, same sponsors. HB 4001/SB 68: Same bill as in No restrictions. Guns are allowed anywhere on property owned or leased by the university system. Economic impact on state’s 28 colleges: $74 million Florida’s Stand Your Ground Laws, affording immunity from prosecution, will extend to campuses. Policy will increase the numbers of firearms on campus.

WHAT REALLY HAPPENS IN A SEXUAL ASSAULT Majority of assaults happen among people who know each other. Half of assailants reported to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the attack. 1 in 10 rapes involves a weapon. Most likely factors present during an assault indicates defensive use of firearms likely to be unsuccessful. HB 4001/SB 68 will arm perpetrators, too.
