Graphic Design Portfolio By:

About me My name is Taylor and I am in Mrs. Davis’s second block class. We have done a lot of projects in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop this year. I liked Illustrator more than I did photoshop though. Photoshop was more complicated and required more steps. I also feel I can be more creative in illustrator. I have learned a lot of things such as: how to create shapes, manipulate shapes, apply gradients to texts and shapes, how to crop a photo, how to change the spacing between letters, how to photoshop a picture inside of a picture, and many other things. I have enjoyed learning all of these new things and I feel they will come in handy in college.

Adobe Illustrator I did this project in chapter one of illustrator. It started off as a circle and I made it into this. I learned how to copy shapes and make an imagine. I also learned how to make an image out of something simple.

Adobe Illustrator This is a logo that I did in chapter two of illustrator. I learned how to apply gradients to a text and how to make it change direction. I also learned how to change the color of the gradient. And how to space the letters out uniformly.

Adobe Illustrator This is a project that I did in chapter three of illustrator. I learned how to use the pen tool to trace all of the individual parts and then I put them together to make an image. I also learned how to put designed strokes around the figures.

Adobe Illustrator This is a project that I did in chapter four of illustrator. I learned how to mask objects and how to transform them. I also learned how to offset and outline paths. I also learned how to divide objects so they make up different parts of an image.

Adobe Illustrator This is a logo that I did in chapter five of illustrator. I learned how to create layers, stack layers, and how to group layers.

Adobe Photoshop This is a flyer that I created in chapter one of photoshop. I learned how to make layers visible, how to order the layers so things are layered behind or on top of other things.

Adobe Photoshop This is a cover to a brochure that I created in chapter two of photoshop. I learned how to rename layers, delete layers, and how to convert layers to background layers.

Adobe Photoshop This is a project that I did in chapter three of photoshop. I learned how to use the healing brush tool to smooth out the wrinkles in on the womens face and make it look smooth.

Adobe Photoshop This is a project that I did in chapter four of photoshop. I learned how to use the eyedropper tool to match exact colors of something and applying it to another image. I also learned how to blend colors using the gradient tool.

Adobe Photoshop This is a advertisement for a magazine that I created in chapter five of photoshop. I learned how to apply a drop shadow, and how to change the opacity. I also learned how to apply a style to text.

Darby Logo Design This is a logo that I created for a freelance graphic design business. I was required to use the shapes a triangle, a circle, and a square to make the design.

Alphabet Poster This is my alphabet poster. I had to choose a letter and make a picture with the letter. I got the letter f so I choose fish. I also had to come up with ten words that started with f and put them into the picture somewhere.

Story characters These are the characters that I had to create from the stories: “Anasi the Spider”, and “Why Mosquitoes Buzz In People’s Ears”. Mrs. Davis assigned us characters and we had to draw what we saw when we thought of the characters and then create them in illustrator.

Paula’s posies This is an ad that I created for a florist shop. I had to have six pictures of flowers and the contact information on the ad but I could design it any way I wanted. This is how I wanted mine to be designed.

Olympic sport This is a project that I had to do where I had to create a Olympic sport somewhere crazy. I picked the under the ocean because I love the beach and I picked gymnastics because I think it’s a cool sport.

Visual Dictionary Words These are my visual dictionary word pictures. I had to choose three words and show what they mean in pictures so they are easier to understand.

Logo Reproductions This are two logos that I had to duplicate. Mrs. Davis gave us some logos to choose from and we had to recreated them in illustrator. I had to make it look just like the original.

Original logos for my business These are my logos that I had to created for my business.

Name logos These are my name logos that I had to create. I had to create six different designs with my name that showed my personality

Magazine Cover This is my magazine cover that I had to create. I choose to do mine about cooking because its summer time and time to start cooking on the grill. I got my inspiration from a magazine cover on the internet.

Reception Invitation This is a reception invitation that I created for the retirees of Oak Grove this year. I got my inspiration from my warrior spirit.
