What is a Resolution/What is the point? If your speeches and comments illustrate what your country has done and wants to do, a resolution is a document with actual, specific things your country (you) suggests the member states to do. There are separate resolutions for each topic, so you should be involved in drafting two (or maybe more) at the tournament.

What is a Resolution/What is the point? You will write the majority of the resolution at the tournament itself, during caucuses. Writing resolutions will be a collaborative "international" effort; you should work with other countries (unless your country's politics prohibit it)

They begin with specific words (here are a few examples: Accepts, Affirms, Calls upon, Condemns, Declares accordingly They always end with commas

Parts of a Resolution Operative Clauses: They discuss what the countries are actually proposing should be done. They are policies which the resolution will implement. These are generally more complex/detailed, and end with semicolons. The last operative clause ends with a period.
