Boolean operators to combine search terms  AND: all terms must occur e.g. computers AND education (narrow)  OR: one of the terms must occur e.g. computer OR education (broaden)  NOT: the term may not occur e.g. computer NOT education (exclude) computers education green = search result

AND = all terms must occur in the hits Example: marketing strategies AND new products
