Prepare for greatness my jam

 To review all the vocab words you’ve learned  To show you can use the words correctly  To have fun  To fight to the death (um, metaphorically)

 3-4 students per team  Choose wisely!  Team name – choose one today  Team poster – make one Monday

 In class all next week (approx. 15 minutes each day)  At home! The Vocab Showdown is on Tuesday, June 17 and will take the entire period

 Go over each word and cross off ones everyone on the team knows – don’t study what you already know!  Divide up the unknown words and make people responsible for finding the definitions – share info with rest of team  Quiz one another  Make flashcards  Have family members quiz you  Draw pictures of words  Write sentences that contain words

 1 st round – individually match a word with the provided definition  All other rounds you work as a team  You will match words with provided definitions and antonyms, draw pictures of words, and use words correctly in sentences  Each student receives an individual grade based on participation  Tasty prize and bragging rights for the wining team

 New word list  White board  Expo marker Everything will be provided the day of the Showdown. You do not need to bring anything with you to class the day of the Showdown.
