A right isosceles (two sides congruent) triangle is a special type of triangle: the triangle.

Why? Memorizing the side lengths of these special triangles saves us TIME we would spend using the Pythagorean Theorem.

The side opposite the smallest angle is the smallest side. The HYPOTENUSE is DOUBLE the smallest side. The other leg is the smallest side times the square root of 3.
