Jesus knew he would have a “last day” (Mk. 8:31; 9:31; 10:34). Jesus knew he would have a “last day” (Mk. 8:31; 9:31; 10:34). How did Jesus face his “last day”? And, what can we learn from him about our “last day”? How did Jesus face his “last day”? And, what can we learn from him about our “last day”?

He taught others (Lk. 22:26, 32) He prayed to God (Lk. 22:41) He endured rejection (Lk. 22:48, 61) He endured abuse (Lk. 22:63; 23:11; 1 Pet. 2:23) He encouraged service (Lk. 22:26) He thought of others first (Lk. 23:28)

He forgave others (Lk. 23:34) He ignored his critics (Lk. 23:35-37) He saved others (Lk. 23:43) He was right with God (Lk. 23:43, 46) He left a positive impression (Lk. 23:47)

Clear up matters with others (Mt. 5:24)? Forgive others (Mt. 6:12; Eph. 4:32)? Tell others the truth (Ezek. 3:18-19)? Obey the gospel (2 Thess. 1:8-9)? Come back to Christ (Acts 8:22)?

No one can predict exactly when death will come (Heb. 9:27). No one knows how he will die (Num. 23:10; Psa. 116;15; Ezek. 33:11; Heb. 11:13; Rev. 14:13). Are you ready like Paul (2 Tim. 4:6-8)?
