PRE-RESEARCH A tour of some important resources Print  Encyclopedias  Library Catalog (OPAC) Access to books in the library. Online  Encyclopedias  Databases  Websites

Three Sources 1 Print 1 Online 1 of either

Note Sheets  You will take notes on the note sheets.  You will include bibliographic information.  There are different sheets for different resources:  book  encyclopedia  multivolume reference set  website  online reference book  online encyclopedia

Paper Preparation Read over notes. Develop Opening Sentence, Thesis Statement and subtopics. Use thesis statement, subtopics, and notes to write an outline Use your outline to type your paper.

Citation Preparation Use bibliographic information from your note sheet. Put sources in alphabetical order. See the sample page in your packet for help.
