Thesis 2 Wildfires. When you think about them, you think about bad things, right? Well, they really aren’t bad. There’s a policy in Yellowstone park that says: If a wildfire starts, let it burn. Unless, its life threatening to any people, or animals. Why would they make this a policy you ask? Well, like I said they’re not as awful as you think.“I think that letting the wildfires burn in the park, are a good idea.”

Beneficial To The Environment 3 There are plants that need the fire, that wildfires provide Some plants like the Jack Pine, need the fire that are provided by wildfires. They allow sunlight to shine to the forest floor There are small plants that don’t get the sunshine they need, because of tall trees. Wildfires burn down those trees. Removes disease plants and harmful insects When there are harmful insects and disease plants that have died, but are contagious wildfires burn them, and then they are gone forever.

If They’re In Deserted Areas No One Will Get Hurt 4 If they’re not in deserted areas an animal can sense them Animals like dogs who have an amazing sense of smell can smell the smoke. They create new life When wildfires burn down a forest the seeds from the plant are still there, and when it rains they grow back. Most of the wildfires that occur are in deserted areas If they’re in deserted areas then the fires will just burn, and they won’t hurt anyone.

They Will Give People Jobs And Homes 5 In America about 50% of the people here have jobs People who don’t have jobs can get a job as a volunteer firefighter. The more fires there are the more jobs there will be. If there are a lot of fires they will need more jobs available for firefighters. People will get the money they need to buy a home If people get the money they need to buy homes then the homeless rate will go down.

Closing 6 Wildfires can do many good things for the environment, people, and animals. They can also be bad, though. They destroy and kill, but it at least creates new life. So, when you think about wildfires now, don’t think about the bad that they create, but the good.
