Machu Picchu Located in the Cuzco Region, Peru A pre-Columbian 15th century Inca site. The estate was bulit around 1450 CE. Believed to be bulit for the Inca emperor Pachacuti.

The Great Wall of China Located in Bejing, China. Started construction in 200’s BCE, under order of Qin Shi Huang (first Chinese emperor). There is no official end to the wall but it took about 2,000 years to get to the size it is. 5,500.3 mi long So long that you can see it from space. Made originally to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire.

The Colosseum Located in Rome, Italy Bulit between 72-80 CE. Bulit as an amphitheatre (used for gladiatorial contests, animal hunts, executions, re- enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on classical mythology). One of Rome’s most popular tourist attraction. Has close connections with the Roman Catholic Church.

Christ the Redeemer Located in Rio de Janerio, Brazil Built between 1922- 1931 5th largest Jesus statue in the world. 130 ft tall Cost $250,000 which is equivalent to $3,068,097 (now) A symbol of Peace.

Chichen Itza Located in Yucatán, Mexico A pre-Columbian city bulit by the Mayans. One of the largest Mayan city. Believe to be founded as early as 600 CE. Mexico’s second most visited archaeological site.
