Through journals, websites, books, and newspapers we have discovered how significant technology is in the classrooms today

We are here to discuss:  What a smart classroom actually is  What the benefits of schools have these expensive features  Why there is such a need for this technology

What are Smart Classrooms?  Electronically enhanced lecture classrooms  Create new opportunities  Learning through technology

Equipment Needed For Smart Classrooms  Instructors station installed with a PC or Mac computer  High resolution LCD video projector for computer and video display  Smartboard or projection screen  VCR, document camera, and audio system  Connectivity to the university network  Commonly used software  Connections for guest laptops

BENEFITS OF SMART CLASSROOMS - The presenting and teaching of information is easier to see and understand so the use of technology in the classroom is a positive influence on student learning. -Students achievement in the classroom is enhanced with use of technology. -A study validating the benefits of technology in the classrooms showed that classrooms with the use of technology have students with positive attitudes, and a greater inclination to learn, and an increase in student achievement.

BENEFITS OF SMART CLASSROOMS  -Technology increases family involvement in child’s schoolwork.  - In several schools in one state students are provided with modems to connect their home computers to their school’s computers increasing the amount of time students spent on homework and other school activities and increasing family involvement with their schoolwork.  - Has enormous benefits for disabled children. Smart Classrooms can contain special technology to make learning easier for disabled children.

Technology being needed  Children need to be comfortable with common used technology in this day and age  Technology gives children so many positive learning opportunities

Children learn from  An array of colors, symbols, and graphics that are used  Classes are being planned as interactive not lecture style  Also files can be saved and reviewed to help with repetition

Can help students learn by use in different classes  Science  Foreign Language  Art

Makes teaching more pleasurable  Children's negative behavior declines  Children attend school more frequently

Overview  Smart classrooms play a large role in educating the children of the future  The use of technology in the classroom is both beneficial to students and greatly needed  This technology trend will continue to grow as more students continue to grow from its most results
