Location and Landforms The Mountains is located in far West Texas. Its Eastern Border is near Pecos River. Its South border is the Rio Grande. And finally the Northern Border is New Mexico. Landforms Hueco Tanks State National Park El Capitan Monahans Sandhills State Park Big Bend National Park Guadalupe Mountains

Vegetation Ponderasa Pins a large spreading pine that grows up to 200 ft offers an estimated 57 mammals and 128 species of birds. Londgepole Pine only found in the wild can grow up to 100 ft and produce 2 inch pinecones easy to grow. Colorado Spruce a blue green color very attractive plants grows usually individually in the forest. Rocky Mountains fir-it grows to around 80 ft and has a 3 inch cone It has a blue color making it easy to identify. Northern Mule’s Ears Plant vanished with resis, the stout leafy stems growing from clumps of lanceolate. Heartleaf Arnica Stems with 2-4 pairs of heart shaped leaves. Ipomopisis Aggregata in upper leafaxils and at tops of sparesly – leaved. Aquileyia Caerulea rocky mountain columbine prefers rich moist soil. Gaillardia Aristata is from north Dokato to Colorado Californiato Bristish Columbia
