Courtney Almendinger

Leonardo da Vinci  He only painted 25 paintings in his life.  He was left handed, but taught himself how to write with his right hand.  He was the first artist to use linear perspective Mona Lisa

Michelangelo  He was a sculptor, painter and architect.  He painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.  He worshipped the human body, it was his inspiration The Last Judgment

Claude Monet  He didn’t do good in school. He was too busy drawing to listen.  He used his kids as models in his paintings.  He loved to paint water and how light reflected off of it Impression: Rising Sun

Vincent van Gogh  He only sold 1 out of his 700 paintings during his lifetime. The rest of his paintings were sold after he died.  His goal was to paint feeling in his art.  He committed suicide Starry, Starry Night
