The Intercultural Tuscan HPH project involves 8 hospitals: The project has the following objectives: REGIONE TOSCANA AO-Meyer (FI) AO-Careggi (FI) H - Prato H - Pisa H - Pistoia H - Firenze H - Empoli H - Arezzo

Every Hospital has promoted some specific project such as: The project has the following objectives: REGIONE TOSCANA cultural and language mediation operator training leaflet translation

In some experience, the links between the local community services are very strong. The project has the following objectives: REGIONE TOSCANA where’s one of the most important Chinese community in Italy, the project “L’albero della salute” involves every aspect of life: family, education, school, work and so on. Every hospital has to guarantee at least the following requirements: The project has the following objectives: REGIONE TOSCANA to include Interculturality in the hospital mission to promote operator training to adopt a formal act for the Interculturality HPH group to offer cultural and language mediation to include in the planning documents the Interculturality

Every hospital has to guarantee at least the following requirements: The project has the following objectives: REGIONE TOSCANA to include the Interculturality theme in the education programs to prepare an annual report about immigrants health to augment the co-operation between the south and the north of the world to improve communication to strengthen the link between local cultural communities

For each area (birth, feeding, faith, pain and death) The project has the following objectives: REGIONE TOSCANA objectives, were established actions, indicators, standards and evaluation

At the end of 2004 The project has the following objectives: REGIONE TOSCANA every hospital compared the performance level reached to: objectives, actions, indicators and standards and defined corrective actions to make sure that the target has been met by 2005

By 2005 Hospitals are committed: To The project has the following objectives: REGIONE TOSCANA to test and verify standards to propose to other hospitals in Tuscany to adopt them to introduce them as certification criteria
