Phoenix Phoenix is the capital and largest city in the U.S. state of Arizona, as well as the fifth most populous city in the United States. Phoenix was incorporated as a city in 1881 after being founded in 1868 near the Salt River, near its confluence with the Gila River. The city eventually became a major transportation in North America and the transportation, financial, industrial, and cultural of the Mountain West. The city has a notable and famous political culture.

Grand Canyon The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided carved by the Colorado River over a six-billion year period. The canyon is 277 miles long and in a width from 8 to 14 miles. Nearly to billion years of the Earth’s history have been exposed as the Colorado River.

The Canyon began in the west, followed by another that formed the two broke through and met as a single majestic rent in the earth six billion years ago. The first European known to have viewed the Grand Canyon was Garcia Lopez de Cardenas from Spain who arrived in 1540.

Visitor’s of Arizona Millions of different people visit Arizona each year. Visitor's usually stay at least one week or two. Visitor’s enjoy their stay.

Famous People in Arizona One famous Indian of Arizona, that has been known very well, is the Apache Kid. We have streets, lotion, shoes, buildings, and so much more named after him. His contribution for Arizona was his life. He was wanted by many states, and other Indians were going to try to take over Arizona. But the Apache Kid, said that if he were to give his life to them, then the other Indians could not take over his home.

Famous People Of Arizona In the pictures are two of the Apache Indian chiefs, Chief Cochise, and Chief Geronimo. They had both protected The Apache Kid, when he was young, and when he was an adult. They kept him out of trouble, and they kept him alive. The Apache Kid never showed any gratitude for them. That is why they sent him to a camp, to teach him to learn some respect for others. That was an act of love from them, but the Apache Kid escaped from the camp after two weeks. But if it had not been for his two weeks at that camp, he would not have had the respect to give his life to the enemy.

Temperature in Arizona The average low in Greater Phoenix Metro is 59 degrees. so the temperatures cool quickly once the sun goes down, especially in the spring, fall and winter. Although things warm up in the summer, the low desert humidity makes for a favorable heat index. when compared to cities in the Midwest, Southeast and other parts of the country.

Conclusion The Grand Canyon is still being explored everyday by hundredths of people. The Grand Canyon will be famous for hundredths years from now. The Grand Canyon will still be standing for more than hundred years from now.
