Predation & Competition By: Rachel Lopez, Lauren Powers, Sheydden Rose, & Celia Chronister

Predator -A predator is an organism that hunts the prey -The predator usually hunts, kills, and eats the prey - It is a natural instinct to hunt after prey -The predator makes attack against the prey

Predation -Predation is the process of an organism eating another organism. -The preying of one animal on others. -Some examples of predator and prey are lion and zebra, bear and fish, and fox and rabbit

Prey -The prey is the organism being hunted. -The prey is the organism which the predator eats. -It is an animal being hunted or seized for food, especially by a carnivorous animal.

Example: -The Great White Shark is the Predator & Celia is the prey. -Celia had been going for a nice deep ocean swim. -All of a sudden a Great White attacked her and ripped her head off. She died instantly but smiled at her death.

Competition -the activity or condition of competing. - most animals battle over a mate/source of food. -Animals compete for limiting factors such as water, food, sunlight, and habitat.

Competitor -An organization or animal that is engaged in commercial or economic competition with others -(Animals) battling to win or overrule the other
